What Does Extra Virgin Mean, and How Does It Differ from Other Olive Oils?
Extra virgin olive oil is the highest quality category, with an acidity level below 0,8%.
Our oil is produced through cold extraction with zero chemical processing, directly from fresh olives.
Which certifications does your olive oil have?
Our oils hold BIO (Organic), PDO (Protected Designation of Origin), PGI (Protected Geographical Indication), and IFS (International Featured Standards) certifications. We guarantee 100% Greek Koroneiki olives harvested directly from Crete.
Do you ship internationally? How much does it cost?
We ship throughout the European Union. All orders are dispatched directly from Karepidis Estate. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated and displayed at checkout.
What is the difference between Bio and Classic?
Ploumi BIO: Under 0.5% acidity, 800+ mg/kg polyphenols, certified organic — crafted for wellness seekers who demand pure organic certification and maximum antioxidant potency.
Ploumi Classic: Under 0.4% acidity, 500+ mg/kg polyphenols — an ultra-low acidity, versatile culinary staple ideal for daily cooking, finishing, and fresh salads.
How should I store extra virgin olive oil?
Store in a cool, dark place, tightly sealed. Protect from direct sunlight. Shelf life is 18 months from bottling; once opened, consume within 3–6 months for peak freshness.
When does the harvest take place?
Our harvest takes place between October and December, exclusively using the same olive variety (Koroneiki). The harvest timing imparts distinct characteristics to each product—an early harvest delivers an intense flavor and high polyphenol content, while a later harvest yields a smoother, more delicate profile.
